JEFFERSON COUNTY, OH (WJAC) — A former friar from the Franciscans of St. Francis in Loretto, who authorities say is accused of raping a student in Ohio, pleaded not guilty in court Wednesday.
David Morrier pleaded not guilty to rape and sexual battery and was released with no bail during his arraignment Wednesday in Steubenville, Ohio according to 6 News' sister station WTOV9.
The incident allegedly occurred at Franciscan University of Steubenville.

Wayne, Michigan — A woman in Wayne, Michigan has been arrested in the murder and assault of her 8-year-old daughter.
Authorities say the woman allegedly blamed the girl's death on a bad spirit in her house.
Authorities say the child was found unresponsive in a bedroom and her injuries made the child unrecognizable.

PENN RUN, Pa. (WJAC) — An Indiana County family is speaking out after they say a custom-made cross was stolen from the fatal crash site of a teen girl.
Kim Keith says her 14-year-old niece, Brittany Keith, was killed in a crash along Route 553 in Penn Run last year as the family was heading to do some Christmas shopping.
Brittany died Dec. 23, just 12 days before her fifteenth birthday, her family says.
