The National Park Service and the Johnstown Flood National Memorial performed a mock trial Tuesday night.
They staged "The Trial of the Borough of Johnstown vs. The South Fork Fishing and Hunting Club of Pittsburgh" as set in 1889. The trial showcased the debate of whether or not the Fishing and Hunting Club was at fault for the failing of the dam in the Great Flood of 1889. At the end of the trial the audience, who acts as the jury, decides the verdict by voting.
