Hollidaysburg man arrested for rape of 12-year-old girl

HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — A Hollidaysburg man has been arrested after police say he raped a 12-year-old girl. According to a police report, 19-year-old Donovan Lynch was arrested after a child rape incident was reported to state police in Hollidaysburg. Police say the incident happened in Frankstown Township between April 25 and April 28. Lynch is being held in the Blair County Prison. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

Reward offered for information on 2007 cold case from Westmoreland County

Westmoreland County, PA — Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is offering a $10,000 reward for any information that helps solve the 2007 cold case murder of 22-year-old Samantha Lang in Westmoreland County. Police say Lang, who was involved in the use and sale of heroin, was last seen sometime between March 26th and 27th, 2007, near her father's residence in Derry Township. Authorities say Lang was dropped off at the residence by a friend and was later found dead.

Woman charged in fatal overdose of Stonycreek Township man

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Police say a New Florence woman is facing charges in Cambria County for the overdose death of a man in December. Police say on December 15th, 52-year-old Kevin Cooper died of a drug overdose in the basement of his Stonycreek Township home. Police say 39-year-old Tabatha Boring is alleged to have supplied Cooper with the drugs, which he believed was cocaine. Toxicology reports indicate that drugs were actually fentanyl and xylazine.

Central Blair Recreation and Park Commission trying to curb bad behavior at games

ALTOONA -- The Central Blair Recreation and Park Commission is seeing an increase in bad behavior from parents, coaches and fans at elementary school basketball games. Officials are trying to figure out how to stop it. Kara Gates has been coaching her basketball team of sixth-grade boys for three years. And she says she's seen a drastic change in the behavior from parents and coaches. "I've seen coaches thrown out of games,” Gates said.

Central PA puppy breeder shares experience on "Horrible Hundred" list
