Somerset Twp. (WJAC) — Pennsylvania State Police say an unidentified 17-year-old and his 20-year-old passenger died in a head-on crash on S. Edgewood Ave. in Somerset Township early Saturday morning.
Officials say the crash happened just after midnight.
Troopers say Braxton Judy, 21, of Somerset was driving southbound on S. Edgewood Ave., just south of S. Center Ave., in a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, when he failed to negotiate a right curve at a high rate of speed, crossed into the opposite lane of travel, and struck a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, driven by the teen, head-on.

Police say officers were dispatched to the Blair County Prison late last week after the warden reported finding the weapon inside the cell of 52-year-old Raymond Oechsle Jr.
According to the affidavit, investigators say the weapon was reportedly made from two pieces of metal, which were held together by an inmate towel and an orange T-shirt.

BANGKOK, Thailand (TND) — One person is dead and several others are injured after a Singapore Airlines flight operating from London was hit by severe turbulence Tuesday morning. Authorities told The Associated Press the 73-year-old British man may have suffered a heart attack, though that hasn't been confirmed. His name wasn't immediately released.
