Philadelphia shooting suspect captured after high-speed chase on Pennsylvania Turnpike

A Philadelphia shooting suspect was apprehended on Sept. 21 on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bedford County. According to a probable-cause affidavit, 31-year-old Amir Rouse was arrested after a vehicle pursuit began around 12:30 a.m. near mile marker 188 on the turnpike. Rouse was wanted in connection to a Philadelphia shooting investigation. According to the affidavit, Rouse’s vehicle reached speeds of up to 130 mph during the pursuit before he crashed into a sign on the Breezewood Interchange.

Centre Co. couple accused of neglecting care of young child

Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities say two Centre County residents have been charged after they allegedly neglected to get care for a young child for nearly two weeks. Police say that Jordan and Logan Wilkinson, both of Philipsburg, reportedly took the child to the pediatrician in late September for what the two said was a rash. Death of infant in Beaver Co. prompts PSP investigation

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after a three-month-old child was pronounced dead in Aliquippa Saturday afternoon. According to state police, Aliquippa Police Department responded to the 200 block of Beaver Avenue for reports of an unresponsive child just after 1:30 p.m. A press release states that the child was transported to Heritage Valley Beaver Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. Johnstown police investigating string of robberies; suspect wanted

JOHNSTOWN -- Police are investigating a string of robberies in Johnstown Friday night. Johnstown police say the first happened at Carpenter’s Food Store on Railroad Street. Another, happened less than a mile away at Pizza Deli Six Pack on Franklin Street. Johnstown police say the man walked in to the pizza shop and reportedly stole the cash register. Police say a third robbery happened not long after at Martin’s General Store on William Penn Avenue.
